Why Do we Do this to Ourselves?
One thing that has become very, very clear to me this weekend after hosting an event with competitive athletes, and as well taking on another level in my KravMaga training is the self pressure we put on ourselves.
John asks me about how I’m feeling for the test day, after having to miss a full day of review (which would have been super, super help-full)
The thing I noticed was the day prior I had so many athletes tell me how they stressed themselves out so much a week prior to the competition that they almost didn’t make it because they almost made themselves to ill!
Low and behold I started doing it to myself as well the morning of my test. What is it in us that makes us think like this?
Is it the fact that we worry about what others think about the way we will perform, or is it that we just want to do our best? Take a listen and let us know what you think!
